Ginseng
Özet
Panax bitkisinin kökünden elde edilen ginseng çeşitli yararları nedeniyle yüzyıllarca geleneksel tıpta kullanılmıştır. Birçok klinik çalışma ginsengin, kanser hastalarının %80’ini etkileyen kansere bağlı yorgunluğun üzerindeki olumlu etkilerini araştırmış. Bu konuda olumlu çalışmalar olduğu gibi negatif de birçok çalışma mevcut. Amerikan ginsengi ile ilgili veriler umut verici olsa da elimizdeki bilgiler yetersiz ve daha çok geniş kapsamlı klinik çalışmalara ihtiyaç var.
Ginseng, which is obtained from the root of Panax plant, has been used in traditional medicine for centuries for its various benefits. Many clinical studies have investigated the positive effect of ginseng on cancer-related fatigue (CRF), which affects up to 80% of cancer patients. Although there are both positive and negative studies on this subject, the data on American ginseng is promising, but the information we have is insufficient and more comprehensive clinical studies are needed.
