Obezite ve Kalça
Özet
Obezitenin kemik dokuda yumuşak doku desteği oluşturması, östrojen miktarında artış ve mekanik yüklenmeye bağlı kemik formasyonu artışı gibi olumlu etkiler yanında düşme riskinde artış, düşme sonucu oluşan darbe gücünün artışı, D vitamini azalması, parathormon artışı ve osteoklastik aktivite artması gibi olumsuz etkileri vardır. Ayrıca artan ağırlık yükü eklem kıkırdağında ekstra hasara sebebiyet vereceğinden osteoartrit gelişimine katkıda bulunur. Bu yükü azaltmak için kilo vermek veya değnek gibi yardımcı yürüme cihazları kullanmak gereklidir. Obez hasta sayısı artışı ile kalça ameliyat sayıları da artmaktadır. Bu hastalarda cerrahi açıdan insizyon problemleri, diseksiyon ve klivajlarda zorlanma meydana gelebilir.
