Trombositten Zengin Fibrinle Ağız, Diş ve Çene Cerrahisinde Başarı: Güncel Yaklaşımlar
Synopsis
With a better understanding of the biology of wound healing, it has been revealed that platelets play a fundamental role in hemostasis and healing processes thanks to the growth factors they contain. Studies show that platelet-rich fibrin accelerates wound healing. Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) is a plasma component obtained from autogenous blood tissue, containing platelets and growth factors. PRF can be used alone to accelerate and regulate soft and hard tissue healing in oral and maxillofacial surgery, or it can be mixed with graft materials or applied by direct injection. Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) was described by Choukroun in 2006. PRF is a material obtained from blood tissue and contains abundant platelets and leukocytes in its fibrin matrix structure. PRF can be used as graft material or membrane. While its areas of use in clinical applications are gradually expanding, its effects on tissue regeneration have been discussed and evaluated, especially recently.
