Synopsis
Endometriozis, uterus iç tabakasına benzer dokuların, özellikle pelvis bölgesinde ektopik olarak yerleşmesi ile karakterize edilen kronik bir hastalıktır. Bu durum, dismenore, pelvik ağrı, disparoni, kronik ağrı ve infertilite gibi semptomlara yol açabilir. Endometriozis, genellikle üreme çağındaki kadınlarda görülmekle birlikte, hastalığın tanısında sıklıkla gecikmeler yaşanmaktadır. Bu gecikmeler, hastaların uzun süreli ağrı ve infertilite gibi ciddi komplikasyonlarla karşı karşıya kalmasına neden olmaktadır. Endometriozisin tanısında, detaylı bir hasta öyküsü ve jinekolojik muayene büyük önem taşımaktadır. Muayenede, vajinal hassasiyet, posterior fornikste palpe edilebilen nodüller, adneksiyel kitleler ve uterin hareketsizlik gibi bulgular tanı koymada yardımcı olabilir. Endometriosis is a chronic condition characterized by the ectopic implantation of tissue similar to the endometrial lining, particularly in the pelvic region. This condition can lead to symptoms such as dysmenorrhea, pelvic pain, dyspareunia, chronic pain, and infertility. Although endometriosis typically affects women of reproductive age, there are often significant delays in diagnosis. These delays can result in patients facing severe complications, such as prolonged pain and infertility. In the diagnosis of endometriosis, a detailed patient history and gynecological examination are of great importance. During the examination, findings such as vaginal tenderness, palpable nodules in the posterior fornix, adnexal masses, and uterine immobility can assist in making the diagnosis.
