Balneoterapide Su ve Gazların Özellikleri

Synopsis

The therapeutic use of water is one of the treatment methods that started in ancient times and is still used today. Balneotherapy, as a non-drug method, is used for preventive, therapeutic and rehabilitation purposes in many centers such as spas and cure centers. The main therapeutic effect in balneotherapy is the applications made with mineral water and thermal effect. In addition, in balneotherapy treatment, applications such as baths, showers, drinking cures and inhalation are performed with mud, water, salts and gas for therapeutic purposes. Balneotherapy is used as a traditional treatment method to reduce pain and stiffness, improve joint mobility and posture, and indirectly increase the quality of life. Since its mechanisms of action are not clearly explained, its place in modern medicine is still controversial. In addition, not all mineral mud, water and gas can be used in Balneotherapy. Ideas about the characteristics of these factors and their application methods have been put forward. In this section, we explained the properties and usage areas of the water and gases used.
