Güvenli Cinsellik, Cinsel Yolla Bulaşan Enfeksiyonlar

Synopsis

Cinsel yolla bulaşan enfeksiyonlar, enfekte bir partnerle cinsel temas yoluyla yayılan enfeksiyonlardır. Riskli cinsel davranışlar, kişiyi cinsel yolla bulaşan enfeksiyonlara karşı savunmasız hale getirir ve cinsel yolla bulaşan enfeksiyonların fiziksel ve psikolojik etkilerine maruz bırakır. Cinsel yolla bulaşan enfeksiyonlar; yaşam kalitesini etkileyebilir, ciddi hastalık ve ölümlere neden olabilirler; bu nedenle dünya çapında üreme sağlığı ve cinsel sağlık üzerinde derin etkilere sahip önemli bir halk sağlığı sorunu olarak kabul edilmektedir. Dünyada her gün 1 milyondan fazla cinsel yolla bulaşan enfeksiyon bulaşmaktadır. Eğitmen ve danışmanlar olarak hemşireler cinsel yolla bulaşan hastalıkların saptanmasında, yayılmasını önlemede ve belirli enfeksiyonları tedavi etmede anahtar rol oynamaktadır.
