Synopsis

Yeme farkındalığı, bilinçli farkındalık uygulamasının yeme deneyimine uygulanmasıdır. Bu kavram, yemek yemenin sadece fiziksel bir süreç olmadığı, aynı zamanda duygusal ve zihinsel bir süreç olduğunu kabul etmektedir. Beslenmenin yavaş bir biçimde uygulanması, besin seçiminde farkındalık ve açlık-doygunluk sinyallerini anlama, sağlıklı yeme alışkanlıkları geliştirmede etkili stratejilerdir. Yeme farkındalığı ayrıca stresle başa çıkma ve duygusal yeme davranışları üzerinde de olumlu etkilere sahiptir. Fizyolojik olarak kortizol seviyelerini düşürerek besin seçimlerini iyileştirmekte ve sağlıklı beslenme alışkanlıklarını teşvik etmektedir. Yeme farkındalığı programlarının uygulanması obezite, diyabet ve kardiyovasküler hastalıklar gibi kronik hastalığı riskinin azaltılması ve hastalık yönetiminin sürdürülmesinde önemli etkilere sahiptir.
